HAND PAINTED, CHOCOLATE FILLED, EASTER EGGS
Easter always brings about the perfect excuse for a chocolate-based project, and a little hunt for ‘Painted Easter Eggs’ on Pinterest didn’t disappoint. Six of us are going down to Cornwall for Easter so these hand painted, chocolate filled eggs will hopefully make the perfect Easter Day Treat.
This is a really fun project to do with friends or little ones. We blew the eggs, gave them a coat of white paint and then decorated them with non-toxic acrylic and watercolour paints. In between coats we left the eggs to dry on our highly technical drying rack: 6 pencils standing upright in a block of oasis. Once the eggs were dry we placed each of them ‘upside down’ in an eggcup, melted some chocolate bars over a bain-marie and then poured the chocolate into the eggs and left them to set.
If you want to have a shot at this fun Easter project there’s loads of inspiration over on our ‘Homemade Easter’ board on Pinterest:
I’d love to see what you make!
